What is Beta 1 3 1 6 Glucan?
A glucan is a polymer made of carbohydrates that only contains glucose as its primary building block. The so-called alpha- or beta-links can join the glucose molecules together; the two fundamental sorts of glucan particles. Figure 1 shows a glucose particle with a beta-orientated restricting.
