What is Boswellia Powder?

Boswellia powder is also named Indian frankincense. The boswellia powder is created from the gum resin that leaks from the bark of the Boswellia serrata tree, which is native to Africa and Arabia. The Boswellia serrata tree is just one tree from a family of trees known as the Burseraceae family. Boswellia is used mainly in Ayurveda medicine. Boswellia contains amazing acids named Boswellic and studies have indicated that these acids contain wonderful properties.

Boswellia (Boswellia serrata), also known as Indian frankincense, has a long history of use in religious ceremonies. As a medicinal herb, the gum resin is used to detoxify the joint tissue and to support comfortable movement. It is said to be heating due to its support of healthy circulation, and cooling because of its soothing action on the tissues. Boswellia is also traditionally used to open the mind and to clear the subtle channels of the body.
